Five Days Until

Oh if by chance, by ill grace, or by predetermined fate,

There be a culling of days, a destined time and date,

Then know all of this heart, which has so rang true ,

Through words, deeds, and all that I do,

Know then that it is my love for Leah, my darling wife

Which, has held fast my heart and guided my life.

For she through storm and of many days fair,

Has brought unto me the joy of this world

 Through her gentle love and care.

Her hands have cupped this weeping soul

 Her words of comfort have kept me whole.

Therefore, if I say so long and bid all loves farewell,

Then know that it was Leah who saved me from myself

 Thus guiding me through the straights of hell.

For her love of me has shone brighter than the brightest sun

Her devotion, and courage is paralleled by none.

So to you my darling Leah… with all my heart and soul,

I just wanted to take the time to say this and let you know,

That my love for you is pure and everyday does grow.

I just want to say…that no matter what may come our way,

That we shall overcome…

For it is by His grace that we became one.
