The Pacifist Soul
A thousand smiling faces fill the pristine sky.
As unbridled joy gloriously abounds
within the journey of this pacifist mind.
The forgotten sorrows of a nay Sayers tomorrow,
Are purged swift of its hidden fears
Therefore, giving unto this absence
the evidence of bitterness or tears.
Yea, but lay halt these utopian dreams
I hear the snarling leader of the herd say
Therefore, in silence, I stand, and I listen as they so speak.
" We shall not allow life to be this way.
For do you not know, that this life in which you view
Is not how we see, nor how we of things construe ?"
For peace, goodwill and harmony for all mankind,
Is not conducive to us and our warmonger's great mind.
Don't you see that we perceive things from a much higher plain?
Our dreams are not those of the weaker man,
but that of nations gained and adherence to our masters plan.
Therefore, we shall never fall for your pacifist way of life,
We will never surrender our ways to the likes of you,
For we are the creators of all that is linked to desperation and strife.
I stopped listening as the last of the herd did speak
I panned the faces the multitude in search of the humble and meek,
I looked across the plains of desolation so barren and eroded by time,
I sought simple comfort in those who might share my pacifist mind.
Yet I found none in this once beautiful land,
So I turned my face to the smiling pristine sky
And discovered that my vision there too had vanished and died.
So peace on earth and goodwill toward all men
Had quickly become a cardinal sin.
Therefore, I stood alone in this sea of wolves
I spoke of peace, I cried out for love,
I was trampled beneath their burning feet.
Yet just moments before I fell to the smoldering ground and died
I once more saw the smiling faces in the pristine sky.
I knew truth, I knew love, I had become whole.
I became one of many, who had decreed admonishment of self
And made up the body of the pacifist soul.
