Fading Away

The sound of autumn whispered soft today

With running leaves and the squirrels at play.

Smells of drying, dying fields danced light in gentle breeze

Teasing senses, triggering memories, of summers final call with ease.

Dance sweet now oh sad and fading summers dream

Court now thy last days, upon the easy flowing stream.

Prepare quickly thy way for the coming of cold unforgiving winters day.

For summer is now just another memory

That in soft whisper hath sweetly faded away.

The imagery and words are beautiful. "teasing senses." Those words make me think of how I pretend that fall is spring because the temperature is similiar. Although, we're still in the 90s here. Up until my adult years, I would get physically sick with flu-like symptoms. A psychosematic illness at the onset of fall.

Living in SC and you are worried about winters cold...? Come to NJ, live in an uninsulated motorhome, then you can say something regards worrying about future cold...LOL! Boy, some people are just whiners & complainers, though as always I enjoy listening to you whine...;) Ed
