Do Thy Part
Oh how can thy find heart such joy,
when in light of man and his evil ways?
As brothers and sisters of disparity, continue to succumb
to their secret desolation, with each passing day.
So, cry now ye nations for the humble,
Cry thee now, and weep sound for the poor
For many are their afflictions
which rise's like a vapor at morning's door.
So, take heed to their sorrows… silent call,
take heed to their broken spirits contrite
and regard with care their days filled with struggle,
As their dark nights abound with strife.
So, forget not the poor man
And hide not thy heart
Turn not a blind eye.
And if by chance you are blessed by grace
then pray tell, and in all sincerity… do thy part.
