Let It Be Me Lord…Let It Be Me

Oh how can this heart of mine breath life or joy without you.

For today you have shown me the truth, which lies heavy in fear.

 It is by your illness this day that has colored my world so blue

and all that I ever want or need, is for me, to you be forever near.

I can see our beautiful ocean now from this balconies perch,

 And I see you my love lying on our bed without a smile or word.

Oh can you not see, oh, can you not hear my cry?

For my love for you is greater than the sea and

Encompasses more than the earth and sky.

Therefore I will continue my watch over thee, and I will pray.

I will never leave you and with you my love, I will surely stay.

I will tell you now, and make it sound and clear,

If deal, by chance and with God were made,

This to Him I would surely say…

"Oh God, I know that you can see me now,

And if I could, I would like to make a deal somehow.

For you also see the love of my life,

 you know her problems, you know her strife.

If it ever come, or ever be…

Instead of her Lord…take me.

For it is to her that I give my love and devotion

So give her health Lord, give it sound and true ,

And if you ever need me…I’ll be here waiting on you".
