Once More

To seek, and not find, and to find that which one did not seek is vexation of both spirit and mind.

Once More

The shadows are soft with a surreptitious crawl,

as the lull of complacency comes upon beckons call.

Voices blur white hot in crippled and broken harmony

as a promise of spirits are chastised now on an endless sea.

Both time and space now share this elapsed continuum,

whilst shadows in foreplay consume the fallen seraphim.

Luster is lacking bright from within by this sorted gay apparel

as the ghost of a hundred thousand millenniums

sing black songs of surrender from alters of derision and peril.

Mute, featherless birds cling gangly to the limbs of dying trees,

while purveyors of derision and malcontent moan from bended knee.

For the quick coming of nothing is sorely at hand

as the byway of yesterday draws to a close in the hot desert sand.

Mirages bend wicked now unto this mortal eye

and causeways of damnation empty out of a meaningless sky.

Children of hope scurry about in search of their endless sun,

yet the shadows of tomorrow overtake their spirit

and they return to the dust

wherewith the to earth they once more become one.

For all is temporal in this fast moving sea,

with life and death as swift as the desire to be free.

Yet another very powerful piece, J. Allen.

I've grown to understand that death is not mine enemy, but the final session of life to be embraced. I'm not eager to hurry to it's side but I won't hide from it either.
Fear is no longer mine to hold.
J.Allen, you've given this alot of energy.

Intimations of mortality appear in this dark and brooding composition
When we are full of living we do not fear death Allen !
Death is the gateway to all our dreams and aspirations in the Celestial City !
