Keep Me

I fail to grasp the entire meaning of it all.

As I ask of you but for a little guidance…a

little pointing of the way lest I slip and fall.

Yet the darkness responded and said nothing

and life continued on.

I had asked of you this in a solemn and judicious prayer.

and still the sun rose and set on this potters field today.

Therefore my why never was, nor was my never when.

So I ask this of you, once more, once again.

YUUUY

Help me Lord keep my vision straight.

Show unto me the snares that were set to entrap me,

which would forever keep me from heavens holy gate.

For this journey has been filled with both joy and sorrow.

Tears have fallen from laughter as well as grief.

So therefore, light a lamp unto this darkness which stands before me.

And give unto my eyes the strength in which to see.

Keep me Lord from those who wish to do me spoil,

and let only your words come forth from my parted lips when I speak.

For I in battered spirit stand before you in need

and unto you with my open heart do plead.

Keep me….

“Nothing is ever dark, when the light of faith

Brightens the path in which you travel”

This truly is a "psalm of Allen." I pray for you often, although I don't know about your condition. Beautiful write.

Quite a aself-fulling moment in prayer and one that so many have uttered, in their own way, over the centuries. Good.

This is beautiful and melancholy Allen
" As the Lord liveth the God of Israel, in whose sight I stand "
We must always examine ourselves in circumspect, and see if there is an area of our life where we are holding out from God, and resolve it completely and immediately !
Take Care
