Poem Artwork

Yellow Moon

 By shadow of yellow moon

The white heron doth fly.

Blossoms of black cherry,

Sweet scents of mountain pine.

Reeds whisper of forgotten days in the

Hollow Pagodas lost unto the mind.

For their wisdom is now trampled unto this place

Where dark the apparitions of water buffalo graze.

As consumption begets consumption

And the white heron falls victim

Of the yellow moons ominous haze.

You speak of the ghastly and apocalyptical days that are now upon us Allen
It is a fearful spectacle, and we would all do well to get down on our hands and knees, and pray for Deliverance !
Extraordinary and evocative pen Allen

Allen
good to see you posting!
The beauty of darkness overcome by a yellow moon.
A poem that points out the duality of life, good and bad!

I'm still visualing the quiet under the moon and the shadow of this great bird taking off for some rookery somewhere. This pair of horzion particapants always have a way with a true poets passion. Once God gives us a visual like this then he adds the mighty quill of the poet to immortalize the masterpiece. He sure picked one of the best to help it live on.

Good to read you again.

J.Allen,
Wow what an exquisite painting this is! The page literally came alive.
I felt as though I were standing at the base of a tree somewhere on the African plains, watching the wildlife drink from the only watering hole around.
Stunning work J.Allen.
