A Strange Lot We Be
What a strange and curious lot we humans are.
With our hopes of redemption, and our blatant desires
which lie solely and insecurely on our infernal perceptions of need.
For oft it is, through this life we ensue
unto contrary oblivion to our spirits renew.
We grind and grumble,
we make merry and chortle
Yet still we fail to see…
Oh what a strange lot we humans be.
