Moons Of Separation

Dark moons of separation are soon to come.

Soft now are the sounds from an ancient drum.

Waves of shadows move stealthily across a desert land,

And oh...oh how desperate is the worm of a singular man.

For the windows which were once built to capture the morning light,

Stand now in darkness like the unseen specters of night.

Mirrors which once in glory of luster did reflect,

Stand now silent on the eclipsing walls of neglect.

So come hither unto the darkness of separations moon,

And try as you may to validate the reasoning soon.

For the percussions call grows louder with each quarter beat,

as the dark moon of separation we shall soon greet.

Allen, I find your lines a lesson to learn. Thank you for opening my eyes to the mystery of the ever changing moon we have such a rapport with, in times like these we do seek. WArm HuGs, Sheee

Quite a dark poem, I love to indulge in them. This was very well done. I like the idea of a dark moon. Victor

Mirrors which once in glory of luster did reflect,
Stand now silent on the eclipsing walls of neglect.
Just as we are neglecting our Earth. This is a mirror of our own failures. However, just when things seem darkest, "Look up for your redemption draweth nye. We will see him coming in the clouds and the darkness will be replaced by the glorious light.
Your write is full of poignancy.
God Bless,
Lew
