Hearts Shall Forever Twain
Dark is the tempest which cometh full blown.
Sweet is hope fleeting; almost, nearly gone.
Crashing walls of thunder share searing light.
Soft now comes your whisper, gentle to the night.
Calamity screams above the din of nervous laughter.
Murkiness envelops sore the broken spirit bound.
Chameleons of disaster, reckless shed their skin.
Dirges lambaste the silence, yet your love doth win.
Come now too soon the stillness of the beating heart.
Love grows increasingly, yet songs to thee unsung.
Your kisses soothe, your smile embellishes the rawness of the day.
Eyes close now, tears puddle to stain.
To know of you, to taste of thee; oh forever our hearts shall twain.
