The Night Calling

THE NIGHT CALLING

Through the darkness he comes creeping

Throughout the land he goes seeking.

Past a small child sleeping

Into a room where a mother lay weeping.

Be not afraid the stranger did say

As he reached out his

Hand to touch her head

The night is short but the journey is long

He gently whispered as she rose from her bed.

Her time has come her spirit fled

Gone now is she unto a place

that we in mortal flesh must dread.

Once again his mission complete

On into the night he continues to seek.

We all know his name

We fear that moment in time when upon us he may call.

Listen though and receive this truth that I do tell

He has no power or hold upon the soul.

Do not fear for death has no victory here.

The light of heaven has made this decree.

“Believe thou in ME and ye shall be free”.

J Allen this one speaks so much truth. I feel many fear for they are not on a personal level of the Divine Trinity by which Jesus made a pact with us. the final of this is his pact he conquered and decreed death have no sting. This one was beautiful and spirtual uplifting.

Light & peace,
Joselyn

Such a divine write my friend, you are so right death does have a way of scaring the carnal side of each of us, but we must look beyond the grave for our souls will live eternal free as you've so beautifully penned. You know what amazes me is that salvation and a wonderful life in heaven is absolutlely free, and so many people just don't seem interested yet they will stand in line for hours to pay mega bucks for something that is only temporary! Enjoyed this heart and soulful write!
Blessings,

You caught my attention with this one. I never cared for the name, "Angel of Death." I prefer "Angel of Eternal Life."
God Bless,
Lew

A little on the eerie side but almost comforting towards the end.
