Tried By Fire ~ Collaboration By Leah And Wilson
In seasons of distress and despair, when an encouraging word is not to be found,
I raise the bitter cup of sorrow to my lips and hesitantly drink from its fount.
It is to these walls I stare; that shallow storms arise from black hearts unaware.
Forces driven to mount desolations silver steed; dreams white season come now of need.
Variety’s golden platter of chaos, sets unadorned in its somber reality
Upon the silken sheen of forbidden dances of joy that once disguised man’s mortality
Forewarned is the heart of solitary man, forewarned yet unknowing in his stand.
As to his days which whisper on the dying breeze, so goes it all; so goeth he.
I lift my hand to take sup. I taste the formidable morsel of refinement and melt in the heat of its flame. The die has been cast for my purity and all of heaven rejoices at the writing of my name.
So come now to this field of splendors fine dreams, take heart and see the coming redeemed. For the light of heaven through the darkness did break, salvation delivered to me in His namesake.
