I Miss My Wife
Too many years have I spent working almost everyday.
Too much time on the job have I gave and not enough to home and play.
Don’t get me wrong, I mean not to of my job complain.
It’s just now that we are older; I realize the significance of ever shortening days.
My heart literally aches when from my wife I must part.
At times it just doesn’t seem fair and often I weep silently in the dark.
I know that man must work with all the bills in life to be paid.
Yet I just long to spend every moment with Leah before it’s too late.
Some might say to me enjoy the time together that we do now have.
And I will reply…WE DO, but it’s not enough to bring this hearts salve.
For it is so true in this mumble jumble of a life that we all lead.
We are just mere vapors; here today and tomorrow bug feed.
Maybe some day spills forth, but I feel to know that this is my own lie.
Yep, maybe someday we, my wife and me will have every waking day before we die.
So much now for this pitter patter of ramble and its vacant and dreadful thought.
Love is sure and I truly am thankful for the time that my wife and I have had together.
Therefore I will cease this prose and cancel my rueful ways.
I will try to be more positive and to search my heart all of our days.
Yet then again, I might really someday be blessed with more money and time.
I might blessed in being able to devote my all to Leah; my true love, my wife.

This touched me deeply. A beautiful tribute to your wife, one I'm sure she will love. In today's world not many marriages work, but it sounds like you have a winner! God bless, my friend!
Many blessings,
