Drinking Death
Oh Life, this wisp of vapor; this momentary glimpse beneath the sun.
Say this, embrace it fullest for to err no more when this journey is done.
For crepe shrouds soon shall be thy covering of hope that masks the fear of lasting eternity.
So greet this day with joy; hail all who pass by lest this be thy final test before darkness you see.
To know of the day when of the drink of death may come.
To know of the hour, yet even still this shall still find much undone.
Oh so many are the dreams; so many unwritten songs.
So feast now this day before you find it forever gone.
I see; I hear; I feel the lonesome cry said the old man…
