Broken Man

Seas fall unto silence cries the broken man.
Mirrors reflect memories not to understand.
Mountains crumble to dust he cries again.
Tears pool beneath his feet as his pain begins.

From bended knee; by the hush of the silent sea,
Broken man pleads release; begging to be free.
Stars twinkle and spit in the night sky overhead.
Whispers dilute him revealing that he's already dead.

"Can't be...can't be" cried the broken man.
For I still see; I smell, I touch the soil with my hand.
Shhhh comes now the whisper likened unto the wind.
Darkness hath come delivered, true night begins.

So vivid and powerful. An awful lot to digest and think about.

Perhaps death is not the answer that we all at one point in our lifes or another may contemplate as the ultimate freedom...perhaps it is just such a purgatory of endless waiting. Very intense and well presented write my friend.

We give up sometimes when the road ahead has no end in sght. But when a prayer of no more is answered, suddenly the grip to hold on to the very life you thought had no meaning tightens. Human nature, such a destructive thing. Great write, very passionate.

True night begins and we are now so eager to be alive. I enjoyed this very much. You have pictured the broken man's frantic emotion very well. Thank you
My best regards,
Chris
