Life Most Precious
I watch as the rain gently falls and it reminds me of the tears on my heart.
I think of so many things; my love, my joy; children’s laughter, kissing in the dark.
Though these cold winds blow bringing darkness and rain.
Life; most precious life becomes evermore a most uncertain thing.
Things that I thought once to be of importance no longer seem to be.
Worries which burdened my soul, are but naught in the scheme of things.
I think of Leah, I think of love; I ponder this precious moment granted by grace.
I now wonder; I now walk in fear; I say much; I say nothing; I pray for strength for what I am to face.
What does it mean when I pen these words of this a most fearful heart?
What chance do they provide that of this pleasure I shall never part?
I speak now in riddles, I speak in broken rhyme.
I long for nothing more than simple, most precious time.
So bear with me as I walk you along this uncertain way.
Hold up not just in memory, press on toward the mark…and by all means afforded to you, reverently pray.
