Sweet Satisfaction
Dark were the woods and cool the soft night.
Fog enshrouded cabin; faint flicker of light.
Nocturnal sounds crept on invisible feet.
Solitudes secret splendor my soul did greet.
Forest decay rode upon the rising mist.
Smells culminations derived centuries hence.
A pitter of rain roars upon the blanket of fallen leaves.
Fulfillment devised from the quietness of my need.
Sleep comes easy on the dark wooded night.
Glory resurrects come morning on the dawn’s kiss.
Sweet satisfaction, of somber silence now missed.
