Glory Bound # 7

The earth cried aloud and I felt so alone.

Soon am I to be bound on the last train home.

Great silver rails lay gentle on skyward gleam.

A silhouetted conductor calls all aboard this dream.

Heart beats faster as nearer grows the sound.

No more sorrows to abide; only joy to be found.

The platform is deserted, save two or three.

Emancipations come by hallelujahs to relieve.

Desert furies writhe and moan in the trailing dust.

Proclamations secured in abiding trust.

I hear the train soft on a distant roar.

Glory bound # 7 serving that golden shore.

I sleep; I dream; and even love in silence forever keeps.
