Capturing A Whisper

No heart remains in which to capture the whisper of the abating wind.

Our folly is given over to the jester; whilst laughter comes again and again.

So lonely now is the broken saint that weeps sore beneath the Joshua tree.

Suppositions of life’s parodies played out on the forgotten essence of need.

Minions bold and boisterous march single file to dark tunes in their head.

Wayfarers lost ride black stallions….dogmas sinister raise the sleeping dead.

So speak of nothing, nor give ear to this a last and final plea.

For no heart remains in which to capture the whisper that was once me.

Powerful! What I internalized as I read this, is a commentary on our society - of what once was. We allow ourselves to be led like lambs to slauter, and then bemoan what has become of our freedoms.

God bless you. Kathy

So deeply sensitively written, almost as an escape of the realities of what once was, God bless you for this offering......

Be always safe,
Karen

Dark, mysterious, and compelling - this beckons the reader to a place that is not comfortable, not safe and all the while terribly intriguing.

J. "Capturing A Whisper" filled with such depth and imagery.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and allowing myself to travel inward with the speaker's voice. Happy Valentine's Day and enjoy.

Blessings to you,
~Gwendolyn

Powerfully penned, J Allen, the last two lines particularly poignant. You're wrong - there is one heart that remains to capture the whispher - well done. :(

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
