Suffer This Spirit

I touch; I feel: and this my hand bleeds.

So suffer now this spirit to be moved.

Whilst desperate hearts silently grieve.

I listen; I hear and their lamentations make me cry.

So suffer once again this spirit to be moved.

As all God’s children continue to die.

I look; I see and it’s more than this heart can take.

So suffer this spirit one last time; suffer it now to be moved.

For I have felt; I have heard and now I have seen…

Powerful! [my thoughts] A spirit that does not suffer nor learn and grow - for them it must be hell.

God bless you. Kathy

Heartwrenching poem, J. Allen; very well penned! BRAVO!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(

Poets do cry; so do storytellers; and God DOES hear our cries! He is always with us, even in times of unimaginable sadness or grief!

J Allen,

Powerfully penned wonderment - God sees, and cries - and so do poets, those with a soul. Well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Poignant stuff, Allen. We all watch as time passes by. The good, the bad, the ugly... Politics, religion, war... The "spirit" is moved and that is good.
