Preacher Man

Preacher man on TV tells me it’s almost the end of time.

He points out the revelations and much is right in line.

Should we not see the error of our inconsiderate ways?

Should we not now repent the evil of this the coming day?

For no purpose lies herein that man should attempt to rule as God.

Less than perfect is he; corrupt within; seeker of divers ways to upon the helpless trod.

Yet with head cocked on high, he looks down his nose at the wailing throngs.

No heart has he, tis soon, tis soon that he shall see his ways were wrong.

Envy me not the judgment on those who by deception rule.

For long is this their fall, and hard the ground thereof who mock God and act the fool

No thing is greater than we should give, for the comfort of days lies within in knowing not how we died, but lived.

I am not a writer, I just like to write my thoughts...but when I read from the scholars on authorsden such as yourself and many others, it is worth being a part of the clan. Happy resurection Day!

Very appropriate for the Easter season and leaves one to think of the hopefully comforting days yet to come...

Be always safe,

Thanks, friend. As a pastor in a local church who tried to preach God's love -- I have always wished to judgmental TV preachers would just go somewhere. You have captured the real message of Easter.

So many people try to act as only God can; when they try, only heartache ensues once the realization hits that no one is as perfect as He.

Happy Spring and Happy Easter to you and your family. Thanks for sharing your poem. Your poem's message is one that needs repeated far too many times in society today.

I sadly believe that you are right, my friend. Enjoy life while you can, and Happy Spring and Easter to you and Leah.
