Its Been A Long Time

How long has it been since I have seen the tenderness of your smile?

It’s been such a long, long time; yes my love it has been awhile.

Though to you the hidden veil of eternity separates us and your night grows longer each day.

Fear not for I will always be with you; I know your heart, as you knew mine.

So in this my love take comfort; though we are now apart you are always on my mind.

For all I need to do is but to close my eyes, and I can taste of your kisses so sweet.

So listen close and you will hear my presence and with spiritual eyes you will see.

So weep not anymore; neither bare your heart to worldly grief.

For I my sweet darling was in the wind today as it gently brushed your cheek.
