Snapshots:
Snapshots linger; negatives inundate my mind.
Surreal are the oblique images sliding softly through time.
Memories like spirits, frozen in split seconds and never moving.
Smiling faces from a long ago forever locked in a kodachrome cast.
Snapshots now linger on the yellowing pages of my past.

Be always safe,

The pictures, through memories in our minds, always last even when the still photos become yellowed, faded, lost or forgotten.
Beautiful writing and I think I may have to pull my Paul Simon CD and listen to "Kodachrome" now. Thanks.
Jill
This is beautifully imaged in verse - you paint the scenes of our own memory on our eyes. Thank you, and well done.
