Poem Artwork

This heart weeps much unto the sadness of itself.

The bright sunny days once filled with joy have all but left.

The sad thing on an even sadder tune is how the silence deafens.
Eyes all around see and tongues skirt the dire issues that are in hand.
I know this feeling and people just being people run as fast as they can.
I understand and harbor no grudge; for when sadness consumes it’s just easier this way.
Now these rambling lines pour now like zig zags from this weeping heart.
Choppy pitiful little things are they that cry alone on white pages in the dark.
Tomorrow, oh yes tomorrow; they say the sun will rise and may even shine.
However that is of little consolation to me when I am always, always crying.

So now I sit by your bed alone in the dark; I pray; I weep, I feel life coming apart.

I think of all the good times that we have together in our love so bountifully had.

Yet I can’t…I won’t, I won’t let go; the very thought of this drive me mad.

Now in the silence as I watch you sleep; I recall a movie that we once both did see.

I remember you laughed at me through your very own tears when you saw me cry.

I tried to recall the name and it just came to me…”The Notebook”…… “Sigh”

Goodnight now my love; rest well and know the inner workings of my heart.

Know that there is nothing that I would not do in order to keep you safe from all harm.

Know that in my love; know that I would become a substitution for you.

Know that I would do so without regret;

Know and believe that I will always be here for you and that better days will soon be ours to possess.

Allen,
From the first line to the last, the emotions you're feeling are clearly displayed. I pray that your faith in God's grace will always give you strength.

Best wishes,

Allen, this is such a heart felt compelling write...I feel the pain and hurt in your heart and soul and I prayed today that you continue to share your writes with each of your AD friends. Get out everything thing you're feeling and we, here at "AD", will read and understand. I pray that God will grant your mate a healing and bring peace to your soul. Keep knowing and having faith that better days are ahead for both of you. God Bless

Allen, a deeply sad write, directly from your heart. I pray that you find peace and your mate finds healing. Be well.

I read it through. Heartbreak is painful, like a country western song.
Sometimes we will find a "Teer in my Beer." Or sing along with Patsy Cline about heartaches. Sad but well constructed write.
God Bless,
Lew

I read it and understood all too well, life series of smiles and tears rotates our world and if we allow it will drive us to madness if we try to make sense from insanity. My thoughts go with you.

So much sadness throughout this...yet, in the end...you've written about hope. It might be of little consolation...but you are in my prayers.

You sound so down and destitute in emotion and I am very sorry you are feeling this way and going through such an agonizing time in your life. You and your family will be kept in my thoughts and prayers as you journey down this road. Know that God is with you and your family to be your guiding light.....

Be always safe,
Karen
