This May Be My Goodbye

This May Be My Goodbye

I know this sounds weak, I know this in itself is such a feeble cry.

Yet I cannot help myself for my spirit is broken, so this may be goodbye.

Test on Leah came back today; I called the doctor today as instructed.

The nurse answered the phone and all she would say is that the doctor wants to meet you both in the morning. My heart sunk as I pushed her for more information and back came her soft reply…”Allen it’s not good, I so, so very sorry”

Despair filled my heart as waves of nausea swept over me. I cried out within my spirit and plead to God it not be. I don’t yet know what the doctor is to say, but dread fills my heart. The very thought of life without my Leah sucks my very breath away. I can’t do it… I just can’t without her go on. I pray that there be some change and our life together will go on.

I know this sounds defeatist, I know this sounds feeble and weak, but without her…without her there really will be no more me. I may write more tomorrow or this may be my last write…I don’t know because I am so confused as all I seem to do is think goodbyes. So if you hear no more from South Carolina way, then know that I will join Leah in whatever path our life does take.

I only wish I could have got to take her to Tybee so that we could both see our sea. Yet who knows what fate has in store for I have one tiny thread of hope left that to I cling. I hold on to this frayed thin strand and pray that whatever comes our way…we will somehow beat what the doctors may say…so to this I conclude that all you guys have been so great…I love you all…and that this may be goodbye.

Love Allen

Allen, To say I know how you feel would be presumptuous at best; but I do know the ache that pounds at your heart and mind saying "let it be me, instead, Lord" A life partner is impossible to imagine being without. I can only say that I am and have been praying for Leah and you for a time now. My new bride Jan is also Spirit filled and she too is praying for you and Leah. Assure her with prayer and your love that all is well in HIS MERCY regardless of what occurs in this place.

Keep faith and keep your eyes cast on a healing. My prayers will be with you & Leah daily and if there is anything I can do let me know. Never give up hope. God Bless You Both.

Oh Allen I'm so deeply, deeply sorry that both of you are facing this. There is no weakness in such love nor such honest despair. God be with you both may your hopes be strong and not disappointed. My prayers are with you.

Don't lose hope and cling tightly to faith, Allen, and everything will be okay. I've had the toughest week of my life, dealing with my Dad's sudden passing, but even in the sadness, I've seen so much good. I've had neighbors, who barely spoke, come together to cook Mom and I a meal, I've found support from people I've never met, etc. Earlier this week, I never thought I could find the strength to pick up my pen and write, but I have. Writing is the best therapy there is and I hope you do not quit writing.

Take care and I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Jill

When the surgeon gave my wife only 2 months to live I was sick to my being but with ardent prayer the cancer was arrested and never came back all because we have a merciful God. I will pray along with others that your wife will be spared. Do not despair but always have hope.

There is always prayers and hope, Don't give up tho you want to. You have to keep your spirits up for Leah's sake. It will be o.k. Talk things over with her, I did with Tom too and it helped me face what I had to face. Miracles do happen and with all these prayers a miracle might come about. Understand if you retreat for a while, but please come back to AD and let us be your friend too.

Technology has come a long way in the repair of the sick...I don't discount the use of prayer and such as I know you do not as well, but depending on the problem so many have lived longer and full lives with both...I KNOW its hard, you have got to keep pluggin' along, dear friend...Ed & Rufuz

Allen, Please do not give up hope, it is never too late for a miracle. Please, be strong, give her your healing graces, and transfer the love that you have for her into healing strength for both of you. I shall meditate tonight and send healing energies to Leah and to you. I want you to think positive, manifest her health back, see yourself and her somewhere that is your peaceful and happy zone. Now really believe that it will happen...The mind is a powerful thing, please don't give up.
I shall pray and meditate and send the power of the universe to help you.
Peace, love, and lightness, and healing energies,

Allen:

I'm sooooo very sorry to hear about this. I hope it is nothing too serious. Sometimes the receptionist might give you the wrong information. She is not the doctor. Please go see the doctor first to see what he tells you, and don't be losing sleep tonight.

I'll be praying for you both.

Love and Hugs,

Sandie Angel

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Allen and Leah. I pray you will keep leaning on Him, calling on Him, trusting Him.
"Ah, Lord God, Thou hast made the earth and the heavens by Thy great power and Thy outstretched arm, and there is nothing too hard for Thee."

Sincerely,
Connie

Allen, I had such a call once, but we turned it around, through prayer and hope, and a miracle happened, they do happen, but only if you believe in them, many do not, the doctors didn't the pharmacist, but he was the first one to yell out behind a packed counter, it's a miracle, and my doctor took up doctoring in a different way, and although we are no longer together now on this world, we are very much together spiritually, and are still one, either way, God won't let you loose when it comes to love, you know that.
I send prayers and blessings! Jasmin Horst
