The Doctors Diagnosis On Leah
First off I want to say THANK YOU to all who offered support in my last write. Your encouragement has convinced me to hang on the best I can. I cannot say thank you enough. We got the test results back from the doctor today and his words were crushing. He said and note I said that he said…”it appears that there are two masses on your pancreas Leah, one about one centimeter and the other about five centimeters. I want you to see a cancer specialist ASAP. I hope that we are wrong but all signs point to it being cancer.”
Heartbreak overtook us both as we tried to keep up the good front until we at least got outside. The front did not last since it was the doctor who also had tears in his eyes. Two or three hours went by after that as we talked about our trip to the beach and what we were going to do with the house next spring and then it truly sunk in. Even with all the prayers and support of friends and loved ones we never felt so alone. We felt defeated, we felt that we were being robbed and that is when our fight kicked back in for we will not be denied our victory. Some may say face the reality, but faith can provide. I know I feel like fighting today and tomorrow I may feel like giving it all up.

When the surgeon gave my wife only 2 months to live I was sick to my being but with ardent prayer the cancer was arrested and never came back all because we have a merciful God. I will pray along with others that your wife will be spared. Do not despair but always have hope.

There are so many more testimonies to prove that there is hope. I agree with Louisa in that I am afraid that “no day will be the same”. I fear that I will want to give it all up one day and that I will surrender to this fear. However it is with the true support that we are able to continue on…again my sincerest thanks to all of you at the den who have offered support and encouragement for me and my wife. Please continue to hold us up in your prayers and thoughts. I know it sounds selfish of me…but I truly can’t see life without her. When I love…I love with every once of my being and she is my one and true love…see I am already flipping back and forth, please forgive me in this.

The Lord will be by your side as you go through this journey with your wife. How blessed you are, and she is, to have each other. I know that I would struggle immensely without the love of my life with me.

'Again, I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in Heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My Name, there I am in the midst of them.'
I've written these verses for you before; believe it; for if we have faith the size of a mustard seed, mountains can be moved. Cancer is a great mountain, but our God is greater: nothing shall be impossible with God. You and Leah are still in my prayers, mine and Karen's - there's two agreeing with you for healing, His will be done. May not be our will, but His will - give it all to God - He will not abandon nor forsake you. EVER. He loves with an everlasting love - and you have your Den family's love backing yours -
