Today Leah received the most wonderful and uplifting card in the mail from fellow den member Barbara Kasey Smith. I cannot begin to tell you all how much of a blessing this was to Leah at a time when she is feeling so low. Tears welled in both her eyes and mine at the thoughtfulness that Barbara gave. If you all could have seen Leah’s eyes how they brightened as I read her the sweet prayer of encouragement from Barbara I…see Angels do exist and they are everywhere in our midst…THANK YOU SO MUCH BARBARA and thank you all den members who have given of their time in prayer and support.

Angels In Our Midst

When skies grow dark all around you and your world is filled with gloom.

God has special angels that through the whisper of the heart bring good news.

They come with kindness that is given in such a special and tender way.

They console; they comfort; they stand in the gap between the light and darkness and pray.

Angels do exist; they are everywhere in our midst.

They are in me; they are in you.

And they through God’s whisper give love its due.

So listen to and feel that gentle nudge that comes upon your heart.

Give credence to the calling that sets the light and darkness apart.

For angels truly do exist…they are everywhere, even in our midst.

This brought tears to my eyes and reminded me of the song, Angels Among Us... I have been fed, loved, supported and cared for by just such angels at different times when I was in need.

Allen, the tears are streaming down my face, this is one of the most important special poems I've ever read - because it came from your heart. I'll keep it forever. Your voice speaks your words in truthful and honest sentences, allowing people to see angels don't need wings after all. I hope all who read this beautiful poem will take the time to send Leah a get well card let us AD writers show Leah how much we care about her and Allen and how much we are supporting them. Lets send cards to put smiles on her face and give her an uplifting feeling with some encouraging words. Send me an e-mail for her and Allen's address and I'll get back to you immediately. This will mean the world to them. I sent a message & the address out to as many as I knew, so those who didn't get the message just contact me.

Prayers of encouragement are surrounding Leah and you. I pray still and will do so, and I loved this angel write too. Thank the good Lord for working in mysterious ways. Have much faith in him to heal Leah. Many are working toward that goal now on the den.
