Oh Never

Oh Never

Never has this heart felt the stab of such cruel pain.

Thought once I to withstand any dark and pouring rain.

I long so much to laugh once more with Leah by my side.

Yet there is such sadness when I look into her blue eyes.

I have prayed for strength to keep all things bright and full of joy.

I try; I struggle and yet I feel that I fail to this my minds ploy.

I am such a weak little man as my heart is too tender for many to understand.

Yet somehow this day the sun still did rise and spread its warm blanket across the land.

So if the sun can go on; then I suppose that so can Leah and me.

Despite the rage of life’s dark storms we will together someday be free.

Therefore I conclude with this synopsis of this little mans inward pain.

I look to Him up above for the coming of the latter day rain.

Written with sadness...but then you finish with lines of hope. Keep your faith, always, Allen...for He will carry you.

Allen, this brings encouragement in that last line...it made me leap with gladness to see you end it that way. This is such a heart felt writing that it touches the depths of the soul and makes one stop to think how life can change in the blink of an eye. You've been writing some strong inspirational writings I can feel God's presence in everyone of them. You two are utmost on my mind & in my prayers, may God bless you both.

I love this piece. It starts so sadly and moves upward. Just like life, itself...It is a climb.
God Bless,
Lew

Allen,

He is there, in the midst of the storms - please, for Leah's sake, and yours, keep looking UP - powerfully penned admission of mankind's poor attempts to be strong. This is when we need His Grace, more than ever. You and Leah are still in my prayers -

(((HUGS))) and love, karla.

A great outpouring of inner feelings from a strong man; at most & at least you can show through your writings your true feelings...try to Find Peace, Ed & Rufuz (w00f)

Looking to him above is the perfect thing for you and Leah to do right now. He solves everything to perfection according to his will. I don't think of you as a weak man, I thing both you are Leah are so strong over this. There is a dark storm in your lives right now, but overcoming it is the thing to do right now. Pray.
