Lesson Of The Rain

The rains fell in sweeping torrents today.

Winds fiercely blew on clouds black and gray.

The dark shadows that had lingered from the shying sun.

Soon in coordinated dance collapsed on each other one by one.

Silver blue streaks ignited in the western sky.

Small animals ran for cover; the earth quietly sighed.

I watched in silence through the double pane glass.

I watched as the storm whipped through and faded away.

I then realized even in this…

that eventually all of life’s storms too will soon pass.

The sun reappeared; the earth smelled anew.

I looked over at my sleeping wife and softly said…

I love you.

Allen,

Your writes as of late have been powerfully spiritual - you bless me with your words, as you cry out for a miracle for Leah - He hears, He will answer. The Lord is never early, but He is never late: He's an on-time God. Too bad our time never coordinates with His - but that's okay. This is my new favorite of yours -

(((HUGS))) and love to both you and Leah, as well as continued prayers, Karla.

I guess it's raining everywhere this weekend. Isn't it a beautiful thing to watch the rain cleanse the air and nourish the earth, just as tears do for us.
Bless you, and Leah too,
Peace, love, and light,
Amber "V"
