Love Endures
I stand against the words of death that are hurled my way.
I stand in the gap for you my sweet love; I stand and pray.
Some with callous hearts spin webs of hurt and pain.
Some have even said that nothing; nothing ever stays.
I fail to see the logic behind these blind and dangerous words.
For I see golden dreams in a place where true love endures.
I gave to you my heart; I gave to you the very essence of my soul.
Today we find ourselves crumpled; hearts torn asunder.
We find our spirits afflicted; yet our love will always endure.
I love you Leah and I would with joy take your place today.
For you are my heart and soul and no matter what, our love will stay.

It has been almost two months since I lost my father and while, in some ways, that seems like an eternity ago, considering my days seem to now move in slow motion, the time still, in others, seems as brief as it has, actually, been.
Upon death, our loved ones may leave the shells we know as bodies, but their spirits are always with us, even if their loss tremendously affects those of us left on earth. As Lew Duffey told me when my Dad died, we mourn for ourselves; our lost loved ones are in a better place.
That said, I knew, more than ever, that Dad was still with me, after an experience I had, earlier this week. I had always loved watching the August meteor showers when I was a child, living in Ohio; yet, here in Texas, it is next to impossible to see them, due to the big city lights. This past Tuesday, for the first meteor shower since Dad died, it was cloudy all day and into the evening. I thought, for sure, that I'd see no meteors again, this year. At 10 p.m., it was cloudy; at 11, the sky cleared, I saw two meteors, came back inside, looked out again, and it was perfectly cloudy, once more. It was almost as though my Dad had said, "It's okay," and the sky had cleared, just long enough for the message to come.
Hang in there. I speak for many in saying my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Best wishes,
Jill
.
We have never met, however, both you and Leah are in my thoughts. I am not religious although, this may change tonight, I pray that you and Leah are together for eternity.
Stay strong, Stuart
God be with you and Leah!
((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))), much love, and continued prayers~
As always, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :( >Tears! <
It is with tears in my eyes that I read this - please, don't give up hope. I believe in miracles. And if the Good Lord should take her home, don't despair. He will be with you every step of the way: He gave up His Only Begotten Son for you, for me. He knows grief. He knows sadness. You continue to be in prayer - give Leah Karen's and my love and a gentle (((HUG))) to let her know we're with her - and here's a great big (((HUG))) for you, Allen - I know the fear, the uncertainty, of watching a loved one in ICU - it happened with Karen. Thank God, it turned out okay with her, may it be so with Leah.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
