Love In An Old Mans Heart

What is love in an old mans heart?

Is it that gentle escape in days of youth?

Or is it born of us from our very start?

When eyes lock together in times knowing embrace.

When without a word fitly spoken even still love knows this place.

Even after twenty two years of sharing the depths of your heart and soul.

Your inner man rejoices for true love never stops, but always grows.

Though in this life, we may be physically removed from loves warm embrace.

We shall always know in our hearts and minds; we shall always savor loves sweet taste.

For I remember coming home after a days work, oh I remember seeing your eyes,

I even recall after all these years the giddiness my spirit felt each time.

They say that through time the feelings of my hurt and pain will slowly subside.

Yet it seems I miss you more with each passing day… for together our spirits still abide.

So what is love in this old mans heart?

It is knowing you; it is the culmination of our life;

It is by the GRACE OF GOD that I was able to call you my wife.

Each word in this writing held each other as a couple would hand in hand told of the love in a old man's heart.... Wonderful job...

So tenderly do you honor Leah with your writing. She was a very lucky woman to have known a love such as yours, and I'm sure she knew it. Bless you! Rebecca

So many photos of that Lovely Wife Leah you have shown us on the den. This is another superbly wonderful one and a good write about your love for her too. She is always in your heart and forever will be there. Time heals but the parting of her and you does not heal so fast though. I sympathyze with you in your hurting and hope eventually it gets easier, but she'll always be with you in spirit and never leave you. You found a winner in her.

(((Allen))),

The ending line says it all, beautifully, perfectly: you were indeed blessed, ARE blessed, to have known the love of Leah. She's still with you, you know: maybe not physically, but in every word you pen, every breath you take, every prayer you whisper. :) Well done!

(((HUGS))) love and prayer, Karla.
