Eyes That See

Writing is all I know now to do...thank you for understanding, for without it I would truly be lost.

Eyes That See

I write now only to stave off the madness which pursues my very soul.

Repetitive lines score the heart; bleeding the issue unto sorrow untold.

Some days flow like water and I am good for an hour or maybe two.

But then oh then I will taste the wind and realize the emptiness without you.

Just the other day a young lady at the store came on to me so sweet and kind.

She laughed and made small talk; she spoke of a million things on her mind.

She would flirt a little and then giggle; I smiled but inside I felt my heart sigh.

For I could not feel; and her presence was to me lost when I did not see you in her eyes.

How odd of me she must have thought as she paid her bill for the groceries she bought.

Twenty three years ago I would have known her number and her name.

But now…oh now I see only your eyes and nothing in this life is the same.

Mind you I was not rude; it was just her eyes Leah that told me this is not you.

I feel cheated; I feel as my world of blissful joy has forever gone away.

And now this young woman because she had not your eyes would I give the time of day.

Three weeks three days, not long, but it seems like a lifetime since you went away.

Shall this heart ever heal from the searing and gaping wound?

Shall it Leah ever hold a place for anyone other than you?

I think not, for I remember how in sweet Godly love you would always look at me.

For I see your eyes in my heart; I see them in flowers; I see them in my dreams.

You know that I still talk to you; do you know that in imitation I answer me back?

It is no wonder now that I write these lines with a heart that seems so black.

How can I help others now; for no longer is it that others confide in me.

For now I cannot even help myself for in my soul it’s only your eyes I see.

How Leah…oh How?

I love this expression of your feelings toward this absent love and how it effects your whole world. And, I can relate. ~ Jennifer Butler

(((Allen))),

Your heart may never heal. But time will ease the ache, the loneliness, there - take all the time you need. Here for you.

(((HUGS))) love and continued prayer, Karla.

Allen, I feel your pain, sweet man, please take it one day at a time, I know how difficult this is, but you must think of some way to focus positive energy toward a memorial for Leah. Raise some money for a foundation or a scholarship in her honor. Do a walk a thon, or a race for a cure of her illness, focus this passion and energy that you have toward a rewarding end...I think of you often, and I pray for your soul to be healed.
Much peace, love, and angel light,
Amber "V"

Allen,
TIME my friend, it will take time to ease your pain. Your heart will never heal but time will ease your suffering, one day you'll wake up and notice the sun again, notice the birds are singing, notice that God above is always and has always been with you. God bless you, dear friend.

Many blessings,
~Linda

Only time and your true knowledge of the fact that Leah, loving you as she did would not want you to grieve her passing but celebrate her life, and move on...

If writing helps your heart and soul, you must write on, my friend.

It's only been a short time since your precious Leah passed away. You need to take time for you, time to grieve in your own way. You keep on writing; it helps you to stay focused, sane. Know you are ever in my prayers, (((Dear Friend)))! Heartbreaking write; powerfully penned!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :( >tears! <

Oh, Allen, three weeks is not a long time to grieve when you've lost a love such as you had with Leah. Write as much and as often as you need to, and don't give up. Your friends on the den will always be here for you. Rebecca

I will confide in you. I had such a bad day today. i wanted to be with Tom and go to heaven. I had to talk to my counselor when she came to this building to see someone else. I told her i did not want to live without Tom anymore. It will be over a year and our anniv Oct 6, 18th would of been. I guess that is why I am so sad. They sy it gets easier, I still don't believe it. For me it seems to get harder. Don't be scared cause I say that, each perseon is different in their grief, but for me, I have horrible horrible days still without me Tom. I have his photos plastered all over refrig and now put one even on microwave. He's needs to be with me too.
