A Prayer; The River And A Leaf.
I walked in the pretty silence today meditating along the rivers soft edge.
I chased the blowing leaves in my memories; I chased the yellows and Leah the reds.
Yet in the reality of this day, they just danced singular about my feet.
I thought of all the autumns before and now in my heart I softly weep.
I walked with care now across the smooth rock into the river and away from shore.
I found a place in the middle of the river so wide and pondered our time before.
I watched in amazement as the leaves rose to great heights and then in twirls gently fell.
Many landed in the water all around me save one; a red one that kissed my face and came to rest on my lap with a song to tell.
It sang to me in its red and leafy way; it sang the songs of my Leah clear as day.
I pulled my pen from my pocket and on this little red leaf I did so inscribe.
I wrote the simple words to my baby that I love her still and will as long as I am alive.
I then pulled the leaf to my heart and said a little prayer for her love this day.
I then leaned down to the waters edge and released the small leaf into the rivers way.
Sail on my love my heart cried out; sail on and know in truth…
I will, oh I will always and forever love you.

This is absolutely beautiful ... a gift to those of us going through the journey with you. We feel your loss; we feel your pain; we feel your love. Know that God lost, too ... and He hurts for you. And do you know how much He loves you! Lean on Him; He'll get you through. Thank you.
(((HUGS))) love and continued prayer, Karla.
