Poem Artwork

Baby; this letter is being taken from what I wrote on a napkin when I went out to eat tonight. You know, it is like all thos napkins that fill your box of memories. The ones I always wrote the date on of our visit and then a love poem to you to tell you how beautiful you are and how much I love you...well sweetie, here are those words and they will be the last words I pen to you on a napkin...I am so sorry and wish that it could be different...I love you Leah....

To my wife Leah Cecile Wilson

May our love drift forever on the seas of our eternal love;

Savannah, Georgia November the 24th 2008

“Baby, it's just not the same without you. I found this little eating place out and away from downtown. I know that you would love it here. They have large comfortable booths and it is quiet and peaceful. They are also playing Christmas music and I know how much you love to hear and play those songs. I told the waitress about you and that I was writing you the last love letter on a napkin. I told here about the box of memorie and she almost started crying and then sent over another waitress to hear your story of faith and courage...she did cry.

You will never know baby how much I miss your presence. When you died, so much of me died as well. All of our dreams and hopes are now gone except the hope that we have in Jesus...it is this blessed hope that keeps me going. If I could have taken your place on that bed of sickness I would have, but God knows best and saw it another way. I hope to God that our box of memories will drift forever on the ocean we so loved. Some people think that I am foolish in spending all this money to charter a boat and buy an unsinkable waterproof box, but you know I would have given you the moon and stars if you had only asked. I am running out of napkin now so I must with a heavy heart close.Know that you are always in my heart and you will live forever in my soul and our dear Lord above only knows the true depth of my love for you. I wish all men could find a love as pure and deep, I wish all could have the love that we have...so many people baby want to love and be loved.

I miss you Leah Cecile Wilson...I miss you and I WILL see you again thus fufilling all of my promises that I made to you. I Will, like I promised see you again one glad day...With all my love and devotion, your faithful and loving husband Allen....Big kisses and hugs as this is the last piece to go into the box of memories and sealed with my kiss. I love you baby...I love you.

we all wait patiently to be reunited with our loved ones. I know I do. Sometimes I think How many years must I go on. Then the Lord comes to me in a small voice and says, Don't worry, your turn will come when I need you just as I needed Tom on Aug 17 07. Comfort comes to me then til the next time it pops up. Know it is the same with you. Thanks for sharing another splendid piece of work about Leah and her box and the day you left her at the ocean.

All this time I've read your stories, poems, and looked at the pictures of your lovely Leah... and never have I cried....I've come close...because I understood...too much...yet... today... I cried...and the tears are falling as I write... this is such a lovely gift you have made for your love Leah...and I know that somewhere there are others who have lost a love such as yours...and you say what they wish they could say and have not been able to.... You are a good husband, and you have kept your promises.... now.... I know that Leah would want you to promise to stand tall and strong, and move forward again...look for the light...and let her lead you to a new beginning.... She will wait for you up there... while you do what God intends for you here.... :-) Peace and good will... lindalaw

Death is not the ending but the beginning that we look forward too with God in heaven. Grief lasts only as long as we hold onto it and loving memories last forever.

Allen,

Such a beautiful gift you give your wife, and yourself. You keep her memories alive, where it counts: not in a box, but in your heart, and in your words. You honor her.

Can barely see for the tears running down my face: God bless you as you say goodbye, temporarily. You will be reunited, in time.

((((HUGS)))) love and prayers, Karla. :(
