Poem Artwork

Colors Of Life

Warm reds bleed unto the darkest blue.

Sunsets and colors; just little reminders of you.

Pale lavenders paint their way softly through the trees.

This hour; this most dark hour I seek comfort upon bended knee.

Like unto this the setting sun.

One minute you are in my arms…

Then…oh how then life is now undone.

Wisdom abounds in times like these.

Yet the heart and mind fail to acquiesce.

Over the horizon; now over life’s plain.

Goes this light whereunto only…

only….

Oh only the soft colors of you remain.

Allen,

Powerfully moving, poignant lines here ... having to face the sunsets, alone: but you're not alone. The Lord puts them there to remind you of Him, and of her - their beauty. Well penned.

(((HUGS))) love and prayer, Karla.

zI know there are many colors up in Heaven that your Leah and my Tom have to be enoying. Tom loved his many colorful things he collected and his favorite was red white and blue. We have colors of life too remaining here on earth and abide by God's wishes for us and that is to go on living a life that God wants to give us til our time is up too.
