Feelings

Oh Lord sometimes this load is too much for even to even bear.

Why God is it that some days are like this, and other bright and fair?

Have not I given unto this day of sore troubles my very best?

If it is so Lord, then why do I feel that this day you have given me less?

Man has no clue as to how hard I have truly in my heart really tried.

Yet God, you know my heart as you have counted each breath it has cried.

So God…I want to feel again, and of what I want is not very much.

Maybe Lord it’s just a smile or even the soft hand of another’s touch.

I have feelings God, I am human and I need to feel another ones love.

So Lord, why these days that I be slain, when I only seek another’s touch?

God you know that there is much that I wish that I could only say.

And if by your grace should I see another day; I in humble spirit seek only the tenderness of touch for I still have the feelings which unto me you gave.

Maybe the Lord allowed you to feel more than His protective arm around your shoulders today. I remember when my son died that I felt carried for several months. Things didn't get really hard until I was put on my own two feet to walk again...
(at least that is the way it felt & I envision it...)

((((Allen))))

Longing in these lines - of missing loved ones, of wanting another's touch - being fully human while seeking the Grace of God - powerful.

(((HUGS))) love and prayer, Karla.
