The Butterfly Has Landed
I flew across the miles of an uncharted sea.
I searched and I wept; I hoped and believed.
Thunder stormed across the echoes of this my stilled heart.
Butterflies like memories bloomed on the golden flowers from miles apart.
I danced in the silence of what seemed like a surreal dream.
I waltzed alone with an unseen partner and listened to angels sing.
My eyes were cast to the heavens looking for something lost, yet unheard.
I starred into the evening sun and waited patiently for a large silver bird.
Time slept on the cuffs sewn by my words sought and new visions received.
I survived; I rejoiced as a butterfly landed and but for a moment brought reprieve.
I walked now in anticipation taken so by her colors so bright and fair.
And I silently marveled as the setting sun glistened softly in her hair.
Yet even now as these words spill out onto the white pages of a pure heart.
I dread the parting, for in friendship, if but for a moment gave hope unto another start.
So dream your dreams on thoughts and deeds, which come forth both pure and clean.
Set your eyes not on the brown fields of the past, but on fields anew with butterflies; flowers and all things fresh and green.

The butterfly has emerged from its cocoon and flies in beautiful, celebratory lines. Absolutely wonderful to see you smiling again, my friend. That doesn't erase the past; nor should it. But: you spread your wings and let God's wind support you. Good on you!! My new favorite of all of yours. Well done.
(((HUGS))) love and continued prayer, Karla. :D
Your butterfly is BEAUTIFUL. :D
