I Wait In The Shadows

The lavender pink skies of a southern spring sunset lay peaceful upon my mind.

I sat in the silence on the edge of the field and watched the white tailed deer play.

I dreamed full and teary eyed of the future and its joys that will play out in time.

And I longed in my heart for the speedy coming of that day.

The birds soon fell silent as the last rays of the setting sun winked goodbye.

I pondered many things and I felt only the goodness well in my heart so right.

As the darkness fell upon me, its gentle hand touched my shoulders and I sighed.

Another day has come and gone and I wait patiently…ever so patiently for the next mornings beautiful rise.

All the metaphoric grace of birds in flight, yet a strong fondness for all that came before...

Be always safe,

This poem takes us to where you are.

Waiting in silence trains the heart in tranquility and solitude is bliss to those who know both sunset... and the break of dawn.

Stay hopeful and at peace, He knows your heart.

There is a calm ... a serenity ... to these lines of beauty, of rest in the Lord's presence. Well done, so nice to see, (((Allen))).

(((HUGS))) and love, and continued prayer, Karla.
