Hold Me Now
Sleep falls quietly and soft.
Oh tenderness of gentle touch.
Oh Sweet words whispered in my ear
Ever so much to which I hold.
Always that remains, so much to hold, so much to endear.
I kiss now the stark silence with pursed lips.
I chase the moon shadows of sleepy night.
I watch the ocean swells and see the sinking ships.
Hold my hand I say, let me now see your eyes.
Touch me tender, and leave me not alone to die.
Hold my hand till mornings delicate light.
Teach me again by your love that I may once more fly.
