WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENTS OF WAR

This, on this Veterans Day is dedicated to those who I once knew and are no more and to those who remain and fought in the Vietnam War. These times were filled with division and unrest. Brother against brother, nation against nation. The horror of this war still resonates in my mind as I recall the stories told by close friends of mine. Though we are still at war in yet a different place and time, I thank God that the tone of our nation has changed and to be in uniform is no longer seen as a crime.

I remember when being overseas, I remember being told to dress out in civvies in order to avoid the hate that may be directed at me. I think on those friends who in Vietnam died, I think on the tears that their mothers and children cried. This was the war of my generation; this was the nail which sealed the fate of many a young man.  

As I look out now across the landscape of time, I see both the past and the present. I think of the children of today who have quote UN quote the good life by the sacrifices made. For these my friends who served in this war were but children they propelled into a living hell. So young man…young lady who are still in school, watch this video on my times; place yourself there for they were but a year or two older than you. See the pain on their faces and realize that they died for you. GOD BLESS AMERICA, AND FOR ALL THOSE WHO SERVED.
