The Raven Sleeps
Shadows walk while sleeping,
Yesterdays hope of the morrow creeping.
Kiss not the fool upon windless dreams,
For tomorrow never comes so it seems.
Yea though I laid my eyes on the stones of sorrow,
I walk the lonely path to whit feels this semblance of horror.
She cries no more as eyes are shut evermore.
Dreams afore are just that…Dreams no more.
For the raven now sleeps, and the blind, but seeing men weep.
Thus chase not the shadows, which in their own darkness walk.
Tarry not when the wings of angels on winds in soft whispers talk.
For the ravens voice is now dead to present sight.
The raven caws nevermore, for thus is the night.
