Bored to Tears

by J. Allen Wilson — Read all 1,629 poems by J. Allen Wilson

Day Seven after surgery and progress seems to have been held in check since day three – pain still present – swelling and fever still being stubborn – boredom is already maxed out and I am unable to sleep. If I felt better this time would be easier. I still have five weeks to go before my medical leave expires. I have a follow-up appointment Thursday. Continued prayers are welcomed…Allen

Boredom dances cheek to cheek with growing fear.

This slow dance only a week old but seems like a year.

The music like a broken record repeating every line.

Such a song to the likes I’ve never heard that plays

havoc on a fragile mind.

Bored to tears -

 Dancing with fear -

Captured now in idle time -

This poems release married to my hearts sigh.

Allen, you just never get a break do you? I shall send you healing energy, you will be fine, please don't give up the fight. You are destined to be here on Earth much longer, now please just think positive and take in all the healing energy I am sending your way. Close your eyes, think of a very safe and tranquil place to find yourself and breath in healing white light energy...do this with deep in breaths and push out the negative pain and thoughts as you exhale. I pray for your speedy recovery and fast restoration to health...Namaste...

Peace, love and angel light,
Amber

I know the feeling. Lay your burdens on the strong shoulders of Jesus Christ.
God bless,

You are on our church's prayer chain, Allen. So people in Texas are lifting you up in prayers, including twin sister and myself. We love you; hope you feel better soon! Can we ask what kind of surgery you had?

(((gentle hugs))), much love, and continuing prayers~

As always, your friends in Texas, Karen Lynn (and Karla). :(

Sorry to hear of your ill health, J Allen, although it hasn't harmed your poetry;-)...I will keep you in prayer, though i don't know what the surgery was for. We know God is in charge when we trust Him to be!
Take care!

Eileen
