WHEN I GET HOME!

by J. Allen Wilson — Read all 1,629 poems by J. Allen Wilson

The following poem was written by a friend of mines wife that I work with. I have known him many years, and this is dedicated in memory of his recently departed wife. She wrote this while in the hospital and I felt it an honor to share this beautiful piece of work with all of you. May we all have such faith. God Bless…

Poem Artwork

WHEN I GET HOME!

Turn the lights on in my mansion.

It won’t be long and I’ll be home.

Tell the Angels to get ready to sing that joyous song.

All my Loved will gather around me,

Yes they will miss me, but they’ll have to understand.

They will have to wait ‘Cause I have other plans.’

When I get home.

When I get home, I’m running to His Throne.

I’m gonna bow down at His nailed scarred feet, and praise the Great I am.

I’m gonna thank the Father for His mercy, for saving a soul

like me.

Then I’m gonna dance and sing down the streets of Gold.

When He says to me: “Child, You’re Welcome home!”

Christine is my sister, I miss her so much! My heart will never be the same. But this poem helps me know how ready she was to met our Jesus Christ. She loved to sing and now she is singing the heavenly songs. I love you Christine. I hope your poem blesses someone's heart like like it does mine....

Wow, the anticipation must have been so eager and imminent for Christine! Home is that welcome refuge where all masks are off, barriers are down....you can relax and rejoice in the security of home. To think of being in Jesus' home is beyond our imagination. Christine knows what it's like now and is probably getting the grand tour.
May God fill her husband and family with comforting peace, that they may wait patiently for the time when they'll see her again; and carry on her legacy of love while they're here on earth.

What courage.. and beauty. Yes, Christine believed, and we can take it to the bank, my Bubba, that her faith was rewarded!

As much as it is sad for her husband and family that she has passed on, it is good news for the saints who were waiting to welcome her home! Sound the trump and shake that tambourine! Hallelujah!

Won't belong till the Master comes to gather the rest of His fold, once and for all.. praise the LORD o' my soul, to be counted in that number! :)))

As always, what a loving soul you are, my Bubba, to bring us the genuine beauty of a soul and a life - though short - well-lived.
GOD BLESS YOU! I know you are a great comfort to those who are suffering.

Love you, Sis

Superb Supernatural writing indeed. One thing is for sure - we all get to go home in the end. I want to arrive with restful assurance. Amen!
