Leah, Just One Question; Do Angels Cry? 

Today marks five years since you closed forever your beautiful eyes.
Your face that day lost its soft and gentle color and turned my soul to a pale gray.
Yet even now after all these years, I question dearest Leah; ‘Do Angels cry”?

You sleep now in the company of angels, and I still wonder why it was you and not I.
Do you and the angels softly speak of how man has continued in it’s humanity toward another to continuously decline?
Do you and the angels softly weep for man lost in this, a world so un-kind?

Sometimes when I see a sunset or the rising of a bright new moon…I think, I remember your words, “pretty, oh so pretty” and my heart skips a beat as I remember a love which died all too soon.

Yet dear Leah, love lives forever in hearts intertwined as one.
Though I have re-married and I love her so dear, and even through the separation of our mortal life, the soul of our love for each other shall never be undone.

Yet I still wonder Leah; do angels in the highest for us, do they still weep?
Did you along with them cry when cancer myself I did in fears face?
Did you whisper in an unknown tongue to Jesus my very soul to keep?

Have you seen all the pain? Have you along with the angels looked upon us and wept in silent disdain?
There are so many questions Leah…so many answers to our eyes which lie unknown.

What is heaven like? Have you danced with China and Minnie who also you left too soon? And do you know that you left me undone without a place to call home?

If it were not for Jan coming into my life, I would have never when my time comes seen you again, for the pits of hell would have consumed my very soul and taken me away in the darkness of my strife.

Thus this heartfelt letter to you dear one I write. I close, and I think I know the answer, angels, angels like you really do cry.
Also rest in sweet peace in knowing that you, I and my sweet Jan are in spirit ONE…
