I looked into her eyes,
She shed a smile but her eyes said different.
And I could feel her love from a thousand miles.
She teased me with her shy but conniving eyes.
I thought I owned her, I truly thought that she was mine.
So pray tell a question I parlayed upon her heart.
She grimaced; she scowled and said of this…
I shall have no part.
I thought she loved me, I thought to myself.
I thought she would do anything to bring this poor soul to health.
Yet nay, I was wrong, when I crossed the moral boundaries of endless time.
I was only thinking of myself and not this true heart of mine.
For I failed to realize that love eternal is true and divine.
I come home each night and see the smile which broadens upon her face.
I laugh a little laugh, I kiss her lips and I hold her body close to mine.
For she and she alone, she and I will always intertwine.
I taste the honey of the flaxen in her hair.
I taste the sweetness of her lips as she holds me close and welcomes me home from a hard days work.
And it is then that I know that heaven is real and of her love, I shall always share.
Dull days, days filled with fever, some pitched with darkness.
Yet when I open the door at night, she smiles and I know that I am home and she is there.
May God’s grace always be with the beautiful women like Jan who has always endeared me.
For love is like a mountain; it has it’s valleys, it has its peaks.
Yet when love such as this comes along.
Sometimes the mind is silent, but the heart shall forever speak.
Yes Jan, you are so precious.
I shall forever love you.
I will always remember your smile, your sweet eyes and the taste of honey that falls evermore from your tender lips.
