The Sanity of Insanity
I look around and strangers I see. I ask then of myself who or what I am. My reply is swift as my voice bounces off the pretty white walls.
I am who I am to myself I did say, I am who I am, no my name is not Sam and if it were I sure I wouldn't give a damn.
That's the pleasure of this my life I see. That's the sanity of my insanity that this life has afforded me.
Silence oh silence I hear myself say. Hush little man for I hear the strangers coming my way.
I will close my eyes and pretend I'm asleep and then the funny looking stranger in white clothes will go away.
Oops, too late; they are here and open the door to my pretty white room.
The door opens and then quickly does close . There stands a woman with big square glasses and a little pointy nose. She smiles a sideways smile and ask me how am I feeling today.
I don't answer her because I don't even know her name. I quickly look down so as to not see her face, I try not to laugh but again it's too late. She has no feet but small spiders in their place.
I'm in trouble now thought I. She must be an alien who has come to take me away. Stop it now, stop it, you hear me ... I will sing that's what I'll do...
"I'm leaving on a jet plane don't know when I'll be back again "...
Look at me I shouted to the lady with no feet. Look at me, I can fly. She mumbles something and turns to leave my room. I’m smiling now for the alien has left my space.
Life is truly simple when you don't give a damn. Oh that's right, my name really is Sam. That's right, Sam I am... ha...ha...ha.
