If all we do is entertain the darkness, then soon, that is all that will come calling

Poem Artwork

You once took my name in faith and

 Never once in shame.

Now you treat it with disgust

And look upon me with disdain.

Even,

My words have you taken with an evil desire

And turned them into a blasphemy most profane,

Thus silencing the voice that calls you forth from fire.

                                 O,

What wicked bitterness has taken hold of you?

I gave you love, I gave you life and destroyed you not.

My life I surrendered, I paid your dues.

                     So,

Pray tell, my little one,

what demon has come your way?

Who has stole your faith in me,

And thrust upon you this evil

That even in all your strength, you cannot slay.

Yea now,

Crucify me no more!

Hand over to me your unwieldy load,

And I will tear asunder this disillusion,

That has come thy way,

So,

Come hither now and behold

 what I have in store.

For,

I shall take the fallow of your heart

and endue it with love once more.

So come now to this rock

For it is I that

  stands at the door

and knocks.

Open

It unto

                                            ME.

Hey JA I thought this was just fine, save, this one passage that I thought was rather traditional, hence weak, ie in verse, not in originality;

Yea now,

Crucify me no more!

for some reason I didn't think this matched the power of the rest of the verse written, just a comment, Al
