Poem Artwork

Gentle are the waves that tease my mind

For they bring solace to me in this land without time.

I am like the gull that stands watch from the dune.

Watching and listening to the seas magical tune.

Drifting and drifting until I become a part of this land.

Able soar over marshes galore, free to kiss the sky.

Free to stay forever, to be a part of with body soul and mind.

This is my wish this is my plea,

for there is no way to explain

How I did become at one with Tybee.

I am the sun, I am the sky, I am the sea

I have become the sands of time.

Haunting and so beautiful.

I am the sun, I am the sky, I am the sea

I have become the sands of time."
