Sidewalks of silver and gray,
Lift memories anew of yesterday.
Walks of time do I now take,
Down these sidewalks
Of silver and gray.
Where once
You and I
Would stroll,
And the day would pass us by.
Yet, I now know
That this time only lives
Quietly in my mind.
For these walks of silver and gray,
Are just fragmented moments
of another day and time.
A Time
Back when,
Not so
Long ago,
When
Remembrance
And sadness,
Came adrift
In fresh
Fallen snow.
Covering forever
Our sidewalks
Of silver and
Gray.
Leaving me
To
Mourn
Causing my
Lament
Giving truth
To
Missing you.

very sad too! Sorry you have been feeling down.
Thanks for reviews.
This is a prolific gem! I like this:
"When
Remembrance
And sadness,
Came adrift
In fresh
Fallen snow.
Covering forever
Our sidewalks
Of silver and
Gray."
Good bunch of words, Allen.
